As autumn begins and the temperatures start to drop; the excitement of autumn/winter fashion is very much upon us! You know how much I love layering, mixing and matching separates and of course; vintage knitwear. From vintage cardigans to vintage jumpers and vintage sweatshirts to vintage crochet pieces - there are so many fantastic options to stay warmer as the thermometer drops.
This week I am bringing you my Fave Five Vintage Jumpers from the current collection at www.myvintage.co.uk the only problem you'll have is knowing which one to choose!
1 - 1980s Vintage Cobalt Irish Wool Jumper Size 14 £28
We love this gorgeous vintage jumper, made from pure new wool in striking cobalt blue with little squares of red, yellow and green. Made by The Irish Scene. Fluffy fuzzy finish with a little stretch. In very good vintage condition.
2 - 1980s Vintage Chunky Mohair Jumper Size Large £30
A vibrant vintage jumper from 1980s Irish label Mary Barry. Fuzzy wool and mohair blend in green with design highlights in blue, navy and purple. Slouchy chunky knit with v-neck and dropped shoulders. Well worn but still in good vintage condition.
3 - 1980s Vintage Chunky Irish Wool Jumper Size XL £28
A fantastic chunky knit slouchy jumper from Blainroe of Ireland. Pure new wool in a geometric pattern in blue, purple, green and grey. Dropped shoulders and long sleeves. Slight stretch. The label is 44/XL this measures 46" so an XL. Slight bobbling but generally in very good vintage condition.
4 - 1990s Vintage Colour Block Jumper Size Medium £25
A fantastic vintage jumper from Swedish label Kings Pull. Navy blue with block stripes in green, red, orange and blue with a geometric snowflake style design to the knit. Soft acrylic knit with some stretch. In very good vintage condition.
5 - 1980s Vintage Navy & Pink Snowflake Jumper Size 14/16 £26
Funky and chunky 80s jumper in a lovely soft knit. Classic navy with a contrasting snowflake design in hot pink, with matching hot pink edging to collar, cuffs, upper arms and hemline. Slouchy style, will fit up to and including womens UK size 16. Stretchy wool/acrylic knit. Mild bobbling but in very good vintage condition.
I'm sure you'll agree this is a brilliant selection of cosy knits that are perfect for adding an extra layer this season. A unique and one-of-a-kind vintage jumper is also a fantastic idea for a Christmas gift. Vintage jumpers look great just worn with jeans but you can do so much more with them. Wear oversized with shorts or tights as a mini dress. Layer with a cute collared shirt and mini skirt, there really are so many possibilities.
