We made it to February! The slight promise of Spring is on the horizon and it's the month for Valentines and pancakes - what's not to love?! Of course here at My Vintage we have been busily beavering away at HQ to make sure you have lots of amazing vintage stock to shop on our website. We have been laundering, steaming, mending, photographing, measuring and listing so many amazing items from vintage dresses to vintage handbags and vintage knitwear to vintage accessories; we have added some absolutely stunning pieces to the site just recently. To make it even easier for you to see what is fresh and new, I have created a round up of all my absolute favourites right here in this blog post. VINTAGE SUITS
Stunning 1960s suit comprising a cute mini pencil skirt and jacket. Textured wool in a beautiful warm rust colour with a large statement fur collar. As with many original vintage items, the collar is made from real fur. Fully lined and made to a very high quality. Jacket has two front buttons to fasten and two concealed side pockets. Skirt fastens with a side zip and hook. This looks incredible worn together and also great separates to mix and match. Non stretch and in very good vintage condition.
Stunning vintage trouser suit from exquisite tailoring brand Windsmoor. Mid grey wool suit with high waisted flared trousers and longer length jacket with chunky buttons and matching belt. Two large front pockets with attractive laced rivet detailing. Light shoulder padding and wide set collar. Non stretch wool fabric and in very good vintage condition.
We simply love this amazing 1960s vintage mini skirt suit in vivid red wool, made by Alexon Youngset. Mini pencil skirt and longer length jacket, both beautifully tailored. Jacket has 5 chunky buttons, two front slit pockets and two faux chest pockets. Skirt fastens with side zip and button. Non stretch quality wool and both fully lined. In very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE COMPACTS
We love this glamorous vintage compact in a rich golden copper tone metal. Centered with a stunning raised marcasite panel with black background. Open to reveal a perfectly unblemished mirror. No powder inside but this can be purchased separately. Some slight tarnishing to the outer metal as shown on photos but generally in good vintage condition. Measures approx 3" x 3".
This beautiful vintage compact has a deep midnight blue enamel lid with a stunning cameo feature piece in blue and white. The compact is made from gold-tone metal with classic hinged opening, and inside there is still an original pressed powder tray and part of a filter/cover. There is some degradation to the mirror as the photos show and it is well used but it still in good vintage condition. Measures approx 3" x 3" and marked 'Made in Great Britain’.
Beautifully charming vintage gift set from the iconic Stratton, dated to the late 60s/early 70s. This amazing set comprises a Stratton Convertible Compact for solid makeup and a matching lipstick holder which folds out to reveal a little application mirror. This uber retro design is a gleaming gold-tone and orange with geometric spirograph style pattern. The clean interior has a reflective mirror with the original unused sifter and puff. Overtime in storage, the silky Stratton embossed part of the puff has detached from the sponge and there seems to be some degradation to the mirror but it is still very usable. The base is an all-over star design with central Stratton name. The lipstick holder has the identical attractive design as the compact. Open the holder to reveal a clear unblemished mirror perfect to apply lipstick. All housed in the original satin lined gift box which is also in the original outer cardboard box. This is a very special piece perfect for any Stratton collector or lover of vintage cosmetics. Outer cardboard box measures approx 6.5" x 5" x 1". Compact approx 3" x 3" and lipstick mirror approx 2" x 2". Other than slight degradation of the compact, this set is unused and in very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE HANDBAGS
Cute and funky original vintage bag in pouch style knitted in a zig-zag design in deep red/pink/crimson wool. Brown and pink floral lining and chunky wooden handles. Measures approx 18" x 15” including handles. In very good vintage condition.
The perfect addition to any vintage collection, this 1960s patent leather handbag is in classic deep navy blue. Boxy classic style with goldtone metal twist lock opening and slim carry handles. Two internal compartments including original mirror inside. Measures approx 10” x 6" x 3". Metal clasp tarnished and inside a bit marked but generally in very good vintage condition.
We love this saddle shaped handbag in intricate tooled deep chestnut brown leather. Excellent craftsmanship and a great versatile colour. Clever front fastening and adjustable shoulder strap. Measures approx 10" x 10" x 5" with strap drop up to 17”. Bound with leather stitching. In very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE JEWELLERY
Chunky and unusual 60s vintage bracelet made from twisted strings of bugle beads in a glorious coral colour. Set with brass tone fixings with lobster clasp fastening. Adjustable length from 8"-10.5". In very good vintage condition.
We adore the contemporary vibes of this 70s necklace in vivid gold tone. Long 28" chain with a diamante encrusted pendant with pretty gold droppers. Looks great with a dark roll-neck top. In very good vintage condition.
Deadstock vintage jewellery is a fantastic choice as it is original vintage from the era but has never been worn. This is a super cute pair in a square shape, goldtone metal edged with yellow enamel centres. For pierced ears and on original backing card printed in gold with brand name Reflections and hypo-allergenic. Each earring measures approx 1" diagonally. Unworn so in excellent condition.
VINTAGE HOMEWARE
This is an adorable kitsch vintage milk jug in the shape of a Jersey cow, complete with a bell around her neck. She is full of character for any kitchen or table setting. There are two very small chips and one leg has been repaired on close inspection, but generally she is in good vintage condition. Measures approx 6" long and 4.5" tall. Collectable vintage homeware from My Vintage ideal for any vintage and retro home.
This is a stunning vintage set comprising a small perfume atomiser spray bottle and matching powder bowl (could also be a trinket box). Made from real porcelain with a very pretty pink floral design. Unused and in original black and gold box. Box measures approx 6" x 4" x 2". In very good vintage condition.
We love this amazing hand painted novelty teapot from the Tony Wood Studio. Iconic Mr Punch from 1970s Punch and Judy, complete with sausages around her neck! Measures approx 10" x 10". One small chip on the back but otherwise in very good vintage condition.
