July comes round once again and it has been another crazy busy few weeks at My Vintage HQ. Of course, lots of vintage goodies have been added to the website and put out in the shop. So if you fancy having a sneak peek at some amazing vintage fashion finds then sit back and enjoy as I bring you the New Arrivals for July 2022...
VINTAGE BAGS
Jane Shilton bags are very collectable and popular due to their timeless style and excellent craftsmanship. This is a stunning example, in an unusual shade of pale sea-foam. Envelope style with scalloped shell style stitching and popper button fastening. Removable shoulder strap in same colour and material. Inner label in Japelle designed by Jane Shilton. Additional small zipped inner pocket in the black fabric lining. Measures approx 10" x 6" at widest points and strap drop of approx 22". This beautiful handbag is in very good vintage condition.
Chiltern handbags are very sought after and collectable and it is easy to see why. Timelessly stylish and super versatile as well as excellently crafted from quality genuine leather. This is a stylish shoulder bag in glossy dark brown leather with gold tone fixings. Front panel with Chiltern lettering and logos in gold tone metal. Very sturdy and unusual front hinged buckle detail. Adjustable belt style shoulder strap which is fully removable. There are four internal compartments, two of which are zipped. Measures approx 13” x 8” x 4”. This is is excellent vintage condition and looks only very lightly used.
This is a striking and rare 2-piece set from the 1930s. Navy blue thick crochet knit for both matching handbag/purse and skull cap (sometimes known as a beanie). The cap is designed to sit further back on the head and has a circumference of approx 19". Handbag is a simple pouch style with a carry handle and fringed detail to front and back. The bag measures approx 7.5" x 8". There is a small printed button inside the cap which is marked in gold with BORSALINO ALESSANDRIA. These pieces seem to be unused or very lightly used and are in excellent vintage condition with no damage.
VINTAGE SUITS
The huge TV sensation Dallas was a big player in 1980s fashion, and the collectable Simon Ellis made this Southfork Dallas collection in conjunction with Lorimar Productions. This is a gorgeous bright statement two-piece in a golden yellow silky fabric with black print. Wide leg trousers with an edge-to-edge longline top/jacket and a matching belt. Looks amazing as a whole outfit and the separate pieces will also make great separates with other items. Silky and non stretch fabric. Slight elastication to trouser waist. In very good vintage condition.
We absolutely love this cute two-piece from the 1960s jerseywear specialists Liza Peta. High neck boxy top and cute little mini skirt with a slight flare. All made from a chocolate brown crimplene with contrast trim striped in coffee and cream tones. Matching fabric coloured buttons on the front of the top and long slim sleeves. Looks amazing as a co-ord and also great as separates with other mix and match pieces. Slight stretch. In very good vintage condition.
Iconic British designer Zandra Rhodes brings us this stunning 2 piece suit from the Fifth Avenue collection. Deep vivid purple pencil skirt and matching blazer with three attractive silver metal knotted buttons to fasten and two more on the faux pockets. Shoulder padding and full lining. Non stretch fabric. An amazing set as well as great separates to mix and match with other pieces. In very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE TOPS
This is an amazing vintage 1970s piece; made in Scotland from pure new wool. The longer-line style and edge-to-edge style without fastenings gives this a slightly contemporary feel. The tartan is in glorious shades of blue, green, white and striking red. Fully lined in a brown polyester fabric. Non stretch and in very good vintage condition.
Very wearable vintage blouse from the super collectable Hardy Amies. Wool/cotton blend paisley print in hues of cream, grey, yellow and red. Open collar with full button front and long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. The fabric texture is similar to brushed cotton and there is no stretch. In very good vintage condition.
Uber 80s vintage blazer in an all-over floral print in pastel shades of lilac, pink, gold and green. Boxy and oversized with faux double breasted front. Two front pockets and one chest pocket. Made from a non stretch fabric with full lining. This is a fantastic piece to create an amazing 80s outfit or create a more contemporary look. In very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE TROUSERS
This is a really special pair of vintage trousers from the stunning designer Vera Mont. High waisted and wide legged for that perfect stylish look. White non stretch fabric with subtle diagonal stripe in the light. The fixed waist had a petaled overlap detail and the trousers are flat fronted with a side zip fastening, Side pockets and front gathers leading to front pleats. In very good vintage condition.
We love these stylish and very wearable trousers from the classic Jaeger. High waisted with a 15" rise and a wide leg plus front button and zip fastening. Decorative chunky gold feature button. Deep side pockets and thick belt loops, plus a faux back pocket. Non stretch pure new wool. In very good vintage condition.
Stylish vintage trousers in a quality beige wool fabric. Crossover button and zip fastening to the front. Flat side pockets and belt loops. Wide straight leg with front pleats. Non stretch wool. Low/medium rise of approx 11". A great pair of trousers for smart or work wear. In very good vintage condition.
